About the
Southern Tier Alpaca Association

The property, affairs and business of the Southern Tier Alpaca Association is managed and directed by its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors sets policy, appoints Officers, and performs the duties as set forth in the By-Laws. The Board of Directors is comprised of five to 7 members, who serve 1 and 2 year terms.

We are always looking for members to join or help on any one of our committees. It is a wonderful and rewarding way to get to know the industry, other member farms, and to promote your own farm.

From the very beginning of STA, its members have worked diligently and collaboratively to educate and assist its participating members, as well as those people outside the association. Our association's by-laws were developed with the goal to establish clear ethical guidelines that would serve as our organizational foundation and facilitate our efforts in serving the community of new and existing alpaca breeders.
