Our Mission Statement:

We can offer incredible support on genetics, fiber arts and care. We are committed to our clients success! From Nyala Farm you will get much more than great alpacas!

Farm Description:

Come visit Nyala Farm.  We are very proud or our herd!  We have almost 50 alpacas now and over a third of them have taken blue ribbons or championships.  We will be open for National Alpaca Day weekend September 26th and 27th!  Our 4-H kids will be doing obstacle course demonstrations. We have friendly alpacas that can be petted and you can even try them on the obstacle course yourself.  We will be doing some alpaca craft projects for children of all ages!  We will have spinning wheel and felting demonstrations.  We have one new baby alpaca due the week of National Alpaca Day and hope she or he arrives for you to meet!  We welcome shoppers to our farm store for National Alpaca Day.  Our farm special this holiday shopping season will be hand dyed yarns.  Our yarns are all from our own herd and we have some lovely hand dyed choices this year.  We are also unique in the alpaca business because we use our own fiber to  make hand needled-felted dolls , Christmas ornaments, Christmas stockings and hats.  We can give needle-felting lessons (by appointment).  We sell needle-felting kits. Visitors can shop in our farm store for lots of other alpaca products.  We have socks, mittens, scarves, hats and teddy bears all made from alpaca fiber and we sell the dolls, hats and ornaments we make!

For those interested in starting their own alpaca farm or in using fiber: We specialize in full Peruvian alpacas (including rare full accoyos, extremely rare fawn full accoyos, and part accoyos) all from champion and blue ribbon winning bloodlines. Our genetic knowledge is unique in the alpaca industry.   Although we are a small farm of 50 alpacas, we do pretty well in the show
ring!  Come meet our Champions: Invasion, Superstition, Peruvia, Elsinore Allaby, and Royalty and our blue-ribbon winners, Black Jack, Fawn Connery, Princessa, Pistol, Magneeto, Tamerlane, Patriot, Indy, Royalty, Duncan, Finito and Ironman. Having multiple Accoyo bloodlines and showing our alpacas have both really helped us successfully sell breeding stock.  Let us help you get started with solid show winning stock that will be easy to sell too. We love to show off our beautiful herd.  We have some amazing alpacas for sale right now too!

We also raise rare Wensleydale sheep and Jacob sheep and angora rabbits.  We have Wensleydale fleeces and locks (both dyed and natural) for sale. We have 75-93% Wensleydale breeding stock for sale.  Wensleydales are a very rare long-wooled sheep with shiny curls that are perfect for doll and Santa hair!

We love to talk about alpacas and alpaca fiber and farming.  If you cannot visit on National Alpaca Day, give us a call and set up a visit! Call 607-785-8226 for more information.
