Our Mission Statement:
We just started our alpaca farming adventure in 2011 with our first 4 alpacas arriving in Oct. Our goal is to provide high quality full peruvian and accoyo alpacas while maintaining a small farm of 10-12. It is our intention to market the fiber to the crafting industry; knitters, spinners, weavers, and fiber artists.
Farm Description:
It was our love for the outdoors, nature and animals and being retired from full-time careers that made alpaca farming a perfect fit. I am a crafter, quilter and gardener. My husband and I have built many rock gardens on our property so it was easy to pick a name for our farm.
We found when researching our new adventure that we wanted to be able to provide quality fiber and animals.
We purchased Alpavo's Accoyo Sunflower Girl -full accoyo- who gave us our first future herdsire Rock Garden's Accoyo Cosmo whose sire is SA Accoyo Invasion. We also purchase Gianna's Peruvian Ivy -full peruvian- who gave us Rock Garden Perucoyo Zinnia whose sire is PHA Accoyo Zagot - which makes her full peruvian 1/2 accoyo. Our latest purchase was Ideuma Creek's Peruvian Masquerade -full peruvian- whose sire is HRF Peruvian Silver Bullet.
Sunflower is currently pregnant with Ideuma Creeks Accoyo Cuba Libre cria due in July 2012.
Hopefully we are on our way to reaching our goal.
