Pistol is one of our best foundation females. She was one of the very first alpacas we bought and if I had it to do over again I would in a heartbeat! Pistol has fantastic conformation, she stands like a proud queen. She has a wonderful handle to her fiber. She surprised us at her second shearing when her entire neck came in grey. Now she is gray though her entire blanket. We bought Pistol as a true black with a white mask, but she is clearly a dark silver grey, having thrown grey out of a solid, non-white herdsire twice. Her first cria was a fawn ½ accoyo female cria (Nyala's Peruvian Carousel Girl) who has taken blue ribbons and a championship. Pistol's second cria was another stunning 1/2 accoyo, a classic tuxedo rose grey (Nyala's Perucoyo Tamerlane), out of Camilio's Accoyo the Babe. Tam took a blue ribbon in his first show and has continued on to take 4 more blues and to ribbon well in large classes. Her third cria is an amazing dark silver gray girl (Liadan who sold before she was 3 months old) out of our own Alianza male Checkmate. Pistol was bred to Accoyo Magneeto for another half accoyo cria this summer and made a lovely light rose gray boy Constantine. We bred her to Accoyo Magneeto again and are hoping for a rose gray girl this time and got a lovely brown girl! On top of looking like a blue ribbon winner and being the mother of 4 stunning babies, Pistol is a great mom with lots of milk. She is one visitors always remark about.
