Ultra Violet is one pretty girl. She's got a very typey Peruvian look, a nice top knot and beautiful, dense, bright fleece. She is the daughter of Maple Brook Bolero, a Bueno son who took a blue at The 2008 North American Show - at 12 years of age! Her conformation is excellent.
And check out her latest fleece stats - micron count of 21.7 and a coefficient of variation of just 17.7 - and she's NINE years old! Holding onto fine, crimpy fiber is something very valued in our national herd. Her sire, Bolero, has done this, and like her sire, UV is maintaing exceptional fleece quality well into her mature years.
And she's passing on this beautiful fleece to her offspring. Her cria from 2008, Ideuma Creek's Peruvian Luminescence (whose sire is our own Accoyo Invasion), has been entered in two fleece shows. From just these first two shows, she has received: a reserve color championship, a blue ribbon, The Best Brightness Award, and The Best Crimp Award!
UV's cria from this year is a gorgeous beige male, a full brother to Luminescence. He promises to have fiber every bit as nice as his sister's.
We plan to breed UV back to Accoyo Invasion or perhaps to Accoyo Zagot, a fawn El Nino son who just took a championship in his first fleece show. Either way, the cria should be spectacular.
