7 TIME GRAND CHAMPION... (and counting)
Hiamovi, meaning 'High Chief' surely lives up to all the superlatives associated with this designation. This 6 time Grand Champion is nothing short of spectacular. At his 1st show at 6 months old, he won Color Champion at '08 NAAS. Then he went on to add another Color Championship from the highly competitive MAPACA Jubilee. And then when show season resumed in the fall, he capped his 2008 records with 2 more Grand Championships, one at Empire Alpaca Extravaganza and the other at OABA's AlpacaFest. And it should be noted, that the OABA win was in a champion class of 20 males! This is extraordinary when you consider that the OABA show is considered one of the toughest suri competitions in the country.
His 2009 show career started off on high notes as well, with Grand Champion wins at both the North American and MAPACA shows. And at both these shows he also added two more 1st places in Bred and Owned.
To start his 2nd show season off with a bang, Hiamovi garnered yet another Grand Champion and 2 more blue ribbons at the 2009 North American Alpaca Show. We expect him to continue with this trend of top awards as he moves onto other 2009 shows.
Hiamovi's suri traits all typify the goal that astute suri breeders aim for in their breeding programs-- extreme luster, exquisite fineness, and tightly twisted, individual locks consistently displayed on a well covered, perfectly squared frame.
