Our Mission Statement:

Farm Description:

Located just west of the scenic Catskills Mountains, Hilltop Alpacas is home to a medium size herd of superior animals. The Young’s, Bill, Kathy, Scott and Ann have owned and operated Hilltop Alpacas since its inception in the Spring of 1998. We have been hooked since our first purchase of three alpacas at that time. In addition to staying busy on our own facility, volunteerism has been an important part of our success and provides us with some amazing friends throughout the industry.

We have traveled the country in search of just the right animals that provide us with the perfect fit. No expense has been spared to accumulate animals with fantastic eye appeal and quality to back it up. Excellent coverage, fine, crimpy and bright fleeces, as well as, impeccable confirmation is our goal. Caligula, Victor, Pluro, Augusto, Pisco Sour, Expresso, Royal Fawn, Snowmaster, Legacy, Arch Angel, Super Nova, Royal Rose, Shere Kahn, Bueno, Guellermo, Hemmingway, Camilio, and Casanova are some of our represented bloodlines.

Quality animals is just the start, Hilltop Alpacas is a full time working farm running along side a children's summer camp. The children take an active part in the day to day care of the alpacas, from feeding and herd health routines, to training the animals. As a result of contact with hundreds of children our alpacas are relaxed around people and let their true personalities shine through. We very often hear from farm visitors how they are amazed with the relaxed atmosphere in our barns, many of our animals, male and female, will come and investigate our curious farm guests.

We love to talk paca so don't hesitate to contact us and schedule a visit so we may spend some time with you answering questions and showing you and your family our prize winning herd.
